PF Chang's Lettuce Wraps

Can I be honest with you? My favorite way to eat lettuce is to wrap it around delicious meat! 😂

When I was pregnant, I craved three things:

  • Chick-fil-A
  • PF Chang's Lettuce Wraps
  • Cookies

So when I found a PF Chang Lettuce Wrap copycat recipe, I thought I struck gold! I can't even tell you how many times I've made this recipe...it's a regular dinner feature in our home! I made a few minor adjustments to make it my own and it's definitely a winner!

I know you will love it!

PF Chang's Lettuce Wraps

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound ground chicken or turkey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha (optional)
  • 1 (8-ounce) can whole water chestnuts, drained and diced
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced- whites and greens separated
  • 1 head iceberg or butter lettuce

Directions:

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium high heat. Add ground chicken/turkey and cook until browned, about 3-5 minutes, crumbling as it cooks.
  2. Stir in garlic, onion, green onion whites, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, ginger, and Sriracha until onions have become translucent, about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Stir in water chestnuts and green onions until tender, about 1-2 minutes.
  4. If using a head of iceberg lettuce, cut the head in half to create smaller leaves.
  5. To serve, spoon several tablespoons of the chicken mixture into the center of a lettuce leaf and enjoy!
