21 Day Fix Extreme: The Scoop

Workouts: 

Like the regular Fix, there are 7 days of workouts. 

  • Plyo Fix Extreme: If you like plyometrics, you'll love this workout! Explosive lower body moves burn major calories and sculpt muscles. (You won't be able to walk for days!)

  • Yoga Fix Extreme: I'm a Yogi at heart and look forward to this workout all week! Autumn combines strength, balance, flexibility, and power to stretch the muscles after a LONG week of weighted, explosive moves!

Note: This is not a program for beginners. Yes, there is a modifier, but you have to be in pretty good shape to even do the modified moves. If you are currently active, you can most likely start with the Extreme version. But if you are currently inactive and looking to start your fitness journey, start with the regular 21 Day Fix. 

 
 

Nutrition:

Like the regular Fix, the Extreme Fix focuses on portion control, not dieting! 

It actually comes with TWO different food plans:

Plan 1 – 21 Day Fix Extreme Eating Plan

The basic nutrition plan is simply no more cheats, no more treats. Sorry friends, your wine and chocolate are gone.  But, it’s only 21 days and we can do anything for 21 days, right? 


The program comes with a nutrition guide that will help you determine your calorie bracket. Once determined, you will learn how many of each container you are allowed to eat each day:

Green = Veggies
Yellow = Carbs
Red = Protein
Purple = Fruit
Blue = Healthy Fats
Orange = Dressings


The food lists have been modified from the original 21 Day Fix. Some foods have been added, and some foods have been taken away.

Plan 2 – Countdown to Competition Plan

The second is the Countdown to Competition plan which requires focus and determination.  Autumn cautions, “It’s definitely a mindset that you have to be ready for to take on the Countdown to Competition plan, but it’s what I do leading up to me taking the stage.”

The Countdown days are essentially low carb days.  You eat protein, veggies, and some healthy fats.

For Countdown to Competition you alternate two Countdown days with one Extreme day and repeat for the 18 days.  The last three days are all Countdown days.

{I can't personally speak to this plan because I'm not looking for those results or taking the stage anytime in the near or distant future! ;)}


With both plans, you can certainly eat at restaurants (there's a restaurant food guide in the nutrition book) as well as tons of healthy recipes to try!
